Fall at Nishizawa Gorge

2016/11/3 It is the Autumn here in Japan and this time it was Nishizawa Gorge was the "Koyo" spot. It was perfect timing, I  guess, to visit Nishizawa Gorge for Koyo. But in some parts the leaves had already fallen while same were still Green. But I still believe it was still perfect timing :) Maple leaves were yellow when we reached there. And some were of course red. But unfortunately, we could not glimpse a perfectly synchronized colors  Walking for about 1.5 kilo meters along the trail we come across this Autumn Leave Tunnel. The leaves were yellow some were red. Perfect blending. The trees were perfectly shaded at some spots.  The spots varied according to its access to sunlight. The trees at the mountain tops were perfectly shaded while the trees at the bottom were already dried up. Still the Autumn colors are not dull not in the least, Here are some moments along the hiking trails with waterfalls among autumn colors. It was ...

Fall at Mount Takao - Tokyo

2011/11/19 So I along with my Thai friend and a professor at the university made it to Takao for the 6th time .7th time, I don`t remember well.  It was the autumn, and the peak of it.  Tokyo was turning in to red and yellow just weeks before going in to a dull brown. So the following were captured along the unofficial way to the Mt.Takao. Simple Maple trees marking the change of season.  All Rights Reserved.

Fall at Kawaguchiko - Yamanashi

2014/11/19 Beautiful Mount Fuji, which never fails to amaze me. We made it all the way to yamanashi to enjoy the autumn leaves. We stopped by Kawaguchiko, one of the five lakes around Mt.Fuji, which was created when Mt.Fuji erupted. Kawaguchiko, is not an autumn leaves spot but we found some maple trees which were just in their mid fall.  ◆ Red maple leaves with Kawaguchiko lake and Mount Fuji at the background. ◆ Lake Kawaguchiko with Mount Fuji standing in all its grace ◆ Another caption of the beautiful MountFuji ◆ Finally a cosmo found at the lake bed. Special thanks to Mahesh and his wife and Amilendra for the beautiful time together. All Rights Reserved.

Autumn Leaves at Takao

2011/12/04 In Japan, watching autumn leaves is a leisure activity , which is rarely missed. People leave homes with cameras in groups to capture the beauty of the natures color play. They walk through the trees dressed in red to yellow leaves just about to fall. The end of the autumn is inviting the coldness while warming the hearts of people with this beautiful sights. The sight of the color variation and shadings are just so divine. This tree was just beside the road covered in its glorious dress. This was the first sign saying that it was just the right time to be here watching autumn leaves.  The natural springs of Mt.Takao feed this little water flow. The previous day was a rainy day and this gush of water is now boasting. The red leaves are just steps away from falling down to be floated down the river. All together the scene was magnificent and believe me this is just beside a busy road.  Again a well bred river with the color...

Snow in Kanagawa 2012

2012/01/23 Though it`s early, snow was there for the second time this year. We are more than overjoyed to see this beautiful snowy night today.. Too bad, my window view is covered with a little yard of trees so sunlight or even normal street light does not reach my windows. So my snowy view can barely be captured from my poor little camera.. Why  is this particular snowing important to me...??  you may wonder. :) That is because this would be my final snowing in Kanagawa. This would be the last snowing I may see from my hostel windows.. This is how it looks from my fourth floor window. Sorry for the poor quality of the captures. Enjoy.. Hopefully there would be more snow tomorrow and a better view. All Rights Reserved
