19/07/2010 This dam is the largest dam in Japan with a height of 186m. This is also one of the largest Arch type dams in the world. This dam is situated in the upper area of Kurobe river and it has all its bitter tales about it being built in such a tough place where no human could have easily reached. Once you reach the Kurobeko Stration by the cable car and you take the trolley bus to the Kurobe Dam station through the famous and infamous kanden tunnel.
