Nusa Dua Beach - Bali

2014/05/02 We made it to the world famous beach Nusa Dua.  Nusa Dua is luxury beach resort area where all the beaches are clean and golden  and owned by luxury hotel complexes. We went to the free beach area where there were no people in sight, only the vast blue sea and the golden stretch of beach. The most important  fact is that the beaches are fairly clean. The following is the entrance to the beach. It was covered with temple trees. Well, The Indian Ocean is stretched in front of the eyes with richest golf courses in the area carving in. The sea has the rare color of blue which reminds me of the  sweet Southern sea of Sri Lanka.  Thank you Ayanthi my dearest travelling companion and the panorama guides. All Rights Reserved.

Katsurahama in Kochi

28/07/2011 Katsurahama is a beautiful beach in Kochi prefecture. This beach is famous in  a tale about Sakamoto Ryuma. Sakamoto Ryuma , a pioneer in bringing the Japan to socialism has been to this beach to look at the sea fro long hours. In memory of this tale, the famous Sakamoto Ryuma`s copper statue is built in Katsurahama. From here  onward I would like to share the beautiful calm view of the Pacific ocean.  The view of Katsurahama beach from the Sakamoto statue The vast black sandy beach The other side of the beach from the top of the cliff The shrine at the top of the cliff These photos were taken while the No 12 typhoon was passing over Kochi. So the sky is clouded and dark though the sea is calm. It deprived me of witnessing the original beauty of the Katsurahama. Special thanks to Shiota san of Kochi Center. All Rights Reserved.

Matsushima - One of the Three Greatest Views of Japan

Matsushima is one of the most beautiful seas I have ever seen. The calm waters, no waves, less wind. Matsushima is a group of pine islands which is the origin of it s name matsu for pine and shima for island. Hundreds of tiny islands can be seen as  far as your eyes reach, covered in the summer mist.  Here I share some of the beautiful spots of Matsushima islands which I managed to capture. Chirihama Beach Driveway - Ishikawa

31/07/2010 Three different shades of gray - the sky, the sea and the sand It was already mid afternoon. The sun was hard on us even though we were in the car. We were back from Noto and returning to Kanazawa and sensei said that we were going to get a surprise. It was something to do with the sea. The car stopped at  a sand art competition. Well it was the first time , seeing a sand art competition. Well, of course we were excited. But the surprise was yet to come.Once we got back in to the car, the sensei did not reverse the car. He went forward towards the sea!! Of course we were not on a suicidal trip or something. Suddenly he turned to left and a long unending, unwinding beach emerged straight ahead us. It was infinitive and was of sand, completely yellow sand. The driveway through the windshield The driveway from the window Only a rope was the boundary of waves. Speed limits were staring at us, and even parked vehicles too. What was mor...

Patthaya - Thailand

20/02/2010  This was the day at the sea. Pattaya was a good tourist spot, cool ,wet, hot and everything in all it meanings. I loved all its beaches and sceneries. It was too hot in the Ko Lan and the calm sea was most welcoming. Check out these photos for the slightest impression of Ko Lan, an island in theThai bay at Patthaya city. But I recommend you  to visit  the place for the flavor, if you know what I mean. All Rights Reserved.
