In these gasshou made houses . the roof plays the main part. Its so strong that it holds the thick layer of snow which falls every winter. Even in the hottest summer , inside of the house is cool and very soothing, Houses are very ventilative and spacey.

There are example houses to visit for 200yen and it will make you understand more about the ir culture. These villages have a proud history and a culture which are still alive. The young ones take their heritage to younger ones and so proud to see them. I would recommend you to visit their in a festival season so that their culture is also can be witnessed.

Inside of the houses look much better than outside ..... isn't it? and the absence of any stone tools is notable(unlike our ancient households) almost everything is made up of some sort of plant material. And the use of metal suggests that these houses are not that "ancient" Actually to what time period do this houses belong?
ReplyDeleteAnd the toilet baffles me also....!!!

This village of Ainokura was first mentioned in a book i 1552. Well that was the same era when the Hollanders were ruling Sri Lanka.
Japanese were a very nature oriented, where trees, or wood played a big role in their day to day lives.Stoneware is notably in minimum use. They new about metals since earlier ages, as very old proofs of wars, remains of old metalic armour and weapons are still can be seen museums.
