Matsumoto Castle - Nagano

Matsumoto Castle is situated in the middles of a very busy city , Matsumoto, Nagano. It is very famous as one of the beautiful castles in Japan. It stands majestically in the middle of a moat, a common safety measure in old Japan. Actually, the Japanese alps can be seen in the background. We wanted to go inside but the waiting time was more than one and half hour so we decided to give up seeing the interior. This is the view from the outside of the castle premises. A swan, the safety waters, bushy wall and the main tower of Matsumoto Castle far behind. all in one picture. The trip to this castle was unexpected. We dropped in , on our way back from Kamikochi unplanned with little time left . So I apologize for little information I provide. Please refer to the following link for more information. http://www.matsumoto-castle.jp/lang/eng/about Thank You Amilendra, Dan , Patali, Pasanga, Hasani for joining thi sudden stop. The shrilly coldness had froze the water falling from the cliff. It had formed short ice threads proving the origin of the name.  frozen water  The water had formed a beautiful rainbow in the morning.  The rainbow This is a an all round view of the Shiro Ito falls with the rainbow and the clear waters at the bottom. I personally think that this waterfall is more beautiful in spring with white water gliding down the cliff among the greenery. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Deguchi and the family for taking me to th
